Official Launch of Specutopia, Issue One

We are pleased to announce the launch of Specutopia, Issue One!  It's been a lot of work in a short period of time, but we feel we've put together a solid first issue.  Working with all the authors on this first issue has been an extremely pleasant and rewarding experience, and we hope you all check out our inaugural issue.

Our first issue includes seven stories which cover a broad spectrum of styles and forms from the following talented authors: Greg Mellor, James Beamon, D. Thomas Minton, Jennifer Mason-Black, Rachael Acks, David Steffen, and Jetse de Vries.

We really couldn't have hoped for a better response, or a better lineup for our first issue, and we hope you enjoy reading it as much as enjoyed compiling and editing it.

Specutopia is available for purchase as a direct download (PDF, .mobi, and .epub), and is also available for purchase in a Kindle version (via Amazon) and in a Nook version (via Barnes & Noble).  Please visit http://www.specutopia.com for more details.  And please let us know if you enjoyed the issue.  Thank you.

Table of Contents for Issue One Finalized

The story lineup for the first issue of Specutopia has been finalized.  We feel this collection of stories provides an excellent cross-section of the tone and feel for our magazine.  We had a large number of top-notch pieces to choose from, and we ended up having to cut some really good qualiy pieces, or hold them for future issues.  All the authors who have stories being published in our first issue have been extremely professional and a pleasure to work with, and we want to thank them, as well as all the authors who submitted work to our fledgling magazine.

Here is the table of contents for Specutopia, Issue One:

Greg Mellor - "Hollow Places"
James Beamon - "The Death of the World's Greatest Detective"
D. Thomas Minton - "Hoodoo"
Jennifer Mason-Black - "Water Child"
Rachael Acks - "Entangled"
David Steffen - "Never Idle"
Jetse de Vries - "Solitude, Quietude, Vastitude"

The release date for the first issue will be on or around July 1, 2012.

We're currently in the final selection phase for Issue One of Specutopia.  We've received a good number of excellent submissions, so the choosing the final stories will be tough.  We'll be announcing the final selections within the next few days or so.

We don't close to submissions, so keep those submissions coming in for Issue Two.

Thanks to all who have submitted or shown support for Specutopia.
